Spanish born, Celia Arias moved to London in 2001 at the age of seventeen. She is a stylist, bespoke designer, textile and installation artist.

From 2003 to 2006 she apprenticed for Saint Martin’s graduate Melanie Wilson under her label ‘Prangsta Costumiers’. Here she developed skills in accessory and headwear construction, and learnt different techniques for the manipulation of textiles and the making of props. Around the same time Celia became involved in fashion styling, contributing to international magazines such us Flux, Neo2, Random, Zink, N.oise, B magazine and H magazine. She has styled lookbooks for labels Theatre the la Mode and Neurotica. Clients include Coca-Cola and MTV.

In 2009 she completed a degree in Textile Art in Goldsmiths College. This experience has allowed her to develop new skills and explore in depth areas of interest like beauty, the grotesque, theatricality and carnival, contemporary identity and its extremes.
